A Record Number of Exhibitors to Support Manufacturers at InformexUSA

Higher Value Chemistry for the Agricultural, Biotechnology, Coatings, Plastics, Pharmaceutical and Electronic Industries

Princeton, NJ (December 6, 2007) – Informex today announced that it expects a record number of exhibitors at the InformexUSA Exhibition in New Orleans next January. More than 500 companies have signed up to exhibit technologies utilized within the agricultural, biotechnology, coatings, plastics, pharmaceutical and electronic industries. The total number of companies expected to exhibit at InformexUSA is far in excess of 500, easily surpassing last year’s 508 exhibitors. The rise in the number of exhibitors underscores the ability of chemical makers to support manufacturers in their efforts to create higher value products for competitive advantage.

According to Jennifer Jessup, Event Director, more specialty chemical companies will exhibit high-value chemical technologies at InformexUSA in support of manufacturers that base their business model on cutting-edge product introductions. “Specialty chemical companies understand that their future increasingly lies in the advanced chemical technologies they develop for forward thinking manufacturers,” said Jessup. “One of the main goals of the Informex team is to expand the list of exhibitors with the capability to leverage higher-value chemical technologies in the pharmaceutical, plastics, coatings and electronic industries,” she added.

More than ever before, Informex is centered on the high-value chemical technologies manufacturers require for qualitative solutions to changing market conditions. Some of this year's major exhibitors that offer high-value chemistry include Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., Akzo Nobel Polymer Chemicals, Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, Cytec Industries and Evonik.

Building Trust at InformexUSA

As manufacturers take on increasingly complex projects in pursuit of market winning products, there is a greater need to partner with specialty chemical companies very early in the product development cycle. InformexUSA is all about uniting chemists, R&D experts and executives who can benefit from a true collaborative effort up front. A series of networking receptions, technology showcases and a gala dinner offer everyone opportunities to consider corporate cultures, chemical technologies and company capabilities.

According to Jessup, Informex is critical to the success of manufacturers because it is a show where they can forge new relationships with specialty chemical companies as a prerequisite to building trust. “When it comes to new product development in the pharmaceutical, specialty plastics and electronic industries, the stakes can be pretty high,” she said. “The Informex exhibition is designed to match high quality attendees with exhibitors that offer technologies not found anywhere else,” she added.
