SiGNa Chemistry, Inc. | Green Chemistry Gallery

informex

SiGNa Chemistry, Inc. has commercialized a suite of "green" chemistry materials based on the company's core technology for transforming reactive alkali
metals and their derivatives - which have historically been dangerous to use and store - into safe, free-flowing powders. The resulting materials drive improvements in safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability across chemical processes in the fine chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and
general synthesis industries.

Global Sourcing Strategies Conference in Princeton, New Jersey

bannerSourcing professionals throughout the pharmaceutical industry know that a global procurement strategy is no longer considered just an option. Yet it can be a real challenge to cover all of the bases when outsourcing various components of IP around the world. Find out how the world's leading Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical companies build and implement holistic global sourcing programs at the Informex Global Sourcing Strategies conference in Princeton, New Jersey, November 10-11.

Senior Supply Chain executives from Johnson & Johnson, Genentech, Roche Molecular Diagnostics, Bristol Myers Squibb and other leading organizations will give their insights on what's happening with the transition from old-style purchasing departments to fully integrated global procurement organizations. The backbone of these successful operations, of course, is global IP protection. It's one of the "must haves" and a key element in minimizing risk. Senior IP experts will also be at Informex Global Sourcing Strategies to present the legal and regulatory components of best-in-class programs.

When it comes to global sourcing, the pharmaceutical industry is moving beyond their "home turf" in order to identify and secure new strategic alliances. Johnson & Johnson's Senior Director Supplier Development of Global Pharmaceutical Sourcing R&D will explain some of the processes for initiating global supplier relationships in a timely and cost-effective manner. Move to the "Top of the List" with Informex365.com

What if you could use Google as your source for drawing in new sales leads? What if you could count on the world's best known internet search engine to help buyers find your company? When you're listed in the Informex365.com supplier directory, you get all of that, and more.

According to Tom Leahy, Sales Director, Informex worked with the people at Google to ensure that buyers of custom chemicals find the Informex365.com website whenever they conduct search queries. "More and more, buyers go straight to the Google search engine when they need answers," he said. "If they need answers on custom chemical processes and reactions, they'll find informex365.com at or near the top of the list of search results. Companies listed in the Informex365.com website subsequently gain exposure to prospective buyers who need the skills, knowledge and abilities of custom chemical makers," he said.

Informex launched the Informex365.com website in July to help exhibitor companies increase their exposure to prospective buyers before, during and after the annual InformexUSA event. For more information about Informex365.com, contact Tom Leahy.

Biotechnology Survey Results

Informex recently asked attendees of the annual InformexUSA event to weigh in on their plans for biotechnology. Because biotech will grow significantly in the years ahead, we wanted to know if regular attendees will be looking more closely at the biotech capabilities of select exhibitors in San Francisco. Not surprisingly, almost a third of all respondents said that they will look at and invest in fermentation technology and fermentation production capabilities during the next 12 months. The result is significant in that regular attendees now place fermentation technology on a par with traditional chemistry exhibited at InformexUSA, mainly carbohydrate chemistry and amino acid technology.

If you plan to exhibit at Informex 2009, September is a good time to consider all of the technologies you have to offer to the rapidly growing biotechnology industry. If by chance you have no plans to exhibit any biotechnology capabilities, you may have another division in your organization that is looking to sell technology or R&D services to the industry. Why not ask them to partner with you at Informex 2009? Because one trend is clear, the biotech industry will need more outsourcing services in the years ahead.

Show Your Cool Molecules

At Informex, we're all about accelerating the discovery and utilization of your cool molecules and chemical processes. We want to help you showcase your best, most universal technologies to the world. Do you have a cool technology that's patented, but you're looking for just the right application? Then we want to hear from you. Starting this month, we'll post the "Cool Technology of the Month" on Informex365.com. All you need to do is submit the molecular structure of your patent protected molecule, or description of your innovative chemical process, in 250 words or less. That's it! Go ahead, show off your innovative chemical technologies and get noticed. Send an overview to Katie Fuchs, telling her where you think your technology can be used with great effect. If it's good , and we think it will be, then we'll post the results with your permission.
